Consumer Loan Officer - Outside Sales Development

We have has an exciting opportunity as a Consumer Lender in the Denver market! Invididuals with proven sales experience in investments, insurance, retail, telemarketing or collections will be considered. What you would do: -Market, cold call, and set appointments with prospective loan customers -Analyze the loan request previous credit and current financial obligations -Determine purpose of loan and method a of payment -Make a concerted effort to cross-sell to the customer services that meet their needs -Actively involved in the solicitation of lending business inside and outside the office -Achieve production budgets and goals as assigned Our Lenders focus on marketing, selling and closing our loan products. A typical day involves heavy phone work contacting potential and current bank customers to inform them about our products, they also send mailings to designated locations and take walk-in traffic. Leads can come from the teller line and your marketing and cold calling efforts. Our Lenders also underwrite their own loans so there is definitely some paperwork involved. The good thing about doing your own underwriting is that you have the loan from cradle to grave and the customer can feel confident that they have a "one stop shop" for their loan. We provide a 9 week training period to get our Lenders up to speed. The first two weeks of training, you will be in a classroom environment where you will learn the mechanics of your job and our underwriting procedures. After the two week classroom time, you will then be assigned to a training branch where you will shadow with an established Lender
REQUIREMENTS
-High school degree or equivalent (Four Year college degree preferred) -1-3 years experience in related field with strong sales experience -Invididuals with proven sales experience in investments, insurance, retail, telemarketing or collections will be considered. -Good communication skills. This position is compensated with a base salary plus a generous commission plan.
