Brokerage New Accounts Specialist

Open brokerage new accounts on NFS/FBSI, verified account documentation and CNS authorization. Assist in the processing of ACATS transfers from other NASD member firms. Prepare statistical reports for new accounts as required and work on special assignments as directed by Supervisor. Creates CIS records in Metavante for account authorized signers. Compares account owner name to OFAC list on those clients who do not have existing relationship with CNB. Verifies correctness of free deliveries, instruct and notifies Clearing Agent to complete delivery through DTC, Federal Reserve Bank, etc. Process receipt of physical securities; creating entries for physical securities received at CNS. Coordinate collateral authorization release with an authorized representative from CLC. Monitor maintenance changes to accounts as directed by Investment officer and ASAP system.

Ensure that all paperwork is completed and any additional documents required are attached before submitting the ACATS transfer through the Clearing Firm. Follows up on any discrepancies or delays to insure the incoming transfer is completed on a timely basis. Communicate effectively with colleagues within the bank and outside representatives at Bank Trust Departments, Private Trust Company's and other NYSE or NASD Member firms.



Uses independent judgment to ensure that all new account documentation has been received, the account opened accurately on the system and appropriate updates/additions made to the bank's KYCQ, CIS and Metavante systems



Determines solutions when discrepancies are discovered and communicate effectively to appropriate parties for resolution. Utilizes interpretation and analysis to identify the nature and cause of discrepancies within the new account set-up process.

Interacts with Transfer Agents, Bank Trust Departments, Broker/Dealers, Mutual Fund Representatives and Private Trust Company. Contact involves providing explanations, exchanging information and giving instructs related to the ACATS process or the receipt of specific individual securities.




Job Requirements



Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the securities/brokerage industry (preferably in the new accounts, ACATS or securities transfer area)
Knowledge of or experience with NFS FBSI system preferred. Banking experience required.
Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management within CNS, WMS and CNB.


Excellent interpersonal skills


Excellent analytical skills


MS Office skills- Word, Excel, etc.
