As a Bankruptcy Analyst you will be responsible for monitoring, in an efficient and timely manner in order to ensure compliance with the Federal Bankruptcy Law, a portfolio of approximately 500 to 550 mortgage loans that are affected by chapter 7, 11 or 13 bankruptcy.


In this challenging role, you will perform the following functions: Receive, validate new bankruptcy notifications and set up in servicing system. Perform timely follow up with attorneys and bankruptcy trustees, follow up timely for hearings, discharges and critical steps and request referrals on delinquent bankruptcies and status updates. Review claims for accuracy. Process incoming payments. Maintain accurate and up to date accounting ledgers. Handle inbound/outbound calls. Respond to written and verbal inquiries in a timely manner. Develop and maintain relationships with bankruptcy attorneys, bankruptcy trustees, debtor's attorneys and JPMorgan Chase in-house legal counsel. Support and exhibit the JPMorgan Chase Values, brand promise and Retail and Middle Market REQUIREMENTS
1 year mortgage and/or banking experience preferred. Prior bankruptcy knowledge / experience preferred. Prior collections experience a plus. Exemplary time management skills. Able to multi task, work in a fast-paced challenging work environment. College degree (or equivalent work experience); High School Diploma required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to operate with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks at one time while meeting stringent deadlines. Ability to negotiate, influence and exhibit sound judgment and decision making to protect assets.
