POSITION SUMMARY:

Take a lead role in managing the interest rate risk of the mortgage pipeline and warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Model loans, securities, and derivative instruments using third party software.

Calculate market values, risk measures and interest rate sensitivity analyses.

Place trades as required.

Measure and monitor hedge effectiveness, both FAS 133 and economic effectiveness.

Prepare ad-hoc hedge proposals and analysis.

Prepare periodic backtesting and hedge instrument reviews.

Perform other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & LICENSES:


Experience with mortgage and derivative modeling and valuations.

Knowledge of TBA securities, Eurodollar futures and options.

Strong organization and communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:


Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or Mathematics

Advanced degree or CFA designation preferred.

4+ years experience in Secondary Marketing or Mortgage Banking Risk Management preferred
