Account Manager for Wholesale Mortgage Company - Entry Level

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Account Manager is responsible for supporting the sales group to increase the conversion ratio of AccessPoint activity to acceptable levels as defined by management. This position helps manage the accuracy of AccessPoint approvals and purge any duplicate loans as needed, providing detailed information and feedback from the client to the sales associate via the log and scheduled To Do’s.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Increase conversion of AccessPoint approvals into submission by providing fast first touch response to MILA’s clients via phone and email. These calls will be returned within the first half-hour after the AccessPoint approval by the client to ensure opportunities are not lost
•Follow up on incomplete AccessPoint loan files with a fast first touch response and see if there is opportunity to close the loan file. Uses follow up and to do’s method to ensure no file is left untouched
•Follow up on all To Do’s and keep a clean and accurate account of missed phone calls and call backs
•Purge all duplicate loan files in AccessPoint
•Monitor activity reports & new submissions
•Define the client’s needs with relation to a loan file that might not be submitted because of an objection. Record the information in the loan log and the Sales Associate
•Provide timely information and updates to the Sales Associate regarding competitive issues relating to the pipeline
•Identify credit abusers and report findings to the Area and Regional Managers
•Other duties as requested
REQUIREMENTS
REQUIREMENTS:
•6 months minimum B2B sales or customer service experience in an outbound or inbound phone environment with demonstrated consultative selling skills
•BA degree preferred or equivalent work experience
•Must be technology oriented with a strong command of CRM or similar sales/customer tracking tools
•Team oriented with ability to communicate effectively across multiple departments within MILA
•Must be able to execute a predefined outbound calling plan on a daily basis
•Knowledge of the mortgage process desired but not necessary
•Strong attention to detail with ability to recognize trends and areas of potential opportunity within existing accounts to increase business
•Ability to effectively manage a consistent level of service within a fast paced deadline driven environment
•Utilize excellent time management and organization skills
•Master SPIN selling with detailed focus on Buying Cycle and Decision criteria
•Communicate effectively on the phone with clients, peers and management
•Work with personal commitment, a sense of urgency and dedication to strong effective follow up
•Work overtime when needed and maintain regular and punctual attendance
•Excellent PC and Internet skills Plus excellent Next navigation skills
•Excellent verbal and written communicating skills
•Ability to conduct effective and complete follow up interviews with MILA’s clients
•Ability to demonstrate accurate and thorough knowledge of MILA’s submission process
