Weapons Maintenance Specialist - Armament Repairer

In the Alabama Army National Guard, the Armament Repairer is a Soldier who supervises and performs direct and general support and depot-level maintenance and repairs on weapons and associated weapons systems. This Soldier will become a proficient repairer and maintainer of the mechanisms and systems of tank turrets and weapons, fighting vehicles, towed and self-propelled artillery, small arms and other infantry weapons.

The Armament Repairer is a highly valued member of the Army National Guard team, ensuring that the weapons and weapons systems on which we depend are kept in good working order. This Soldier is integral to the Guard’s ability to maintain a constant state of readiness.

The Alabama Army National Guard is an elite group of Citizen-Soldiers who dedicate a portion of their time to serving their nation. Guard members train part-time to be ready full-time, should their state or nation call them to serve.
