Systems Development Engineer, Vehicle (1195)

Our Vehicle Engineering Practice provides a wide range of vehicle evaluation and testing services. We have worked with automobiles, buses, trucks, vans, bicycles, trailers, motorcycles, trains, forklifts, tractors, cranes, mining and construction equipment, ATVs, golf carts, and more. Some of our services include the following:

REQUIREMENTS
The individual in this position will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Visual Basic, MS Access, and related software and database systems for information processing of business management data, laboratory test data, and laboratory test system data. Additional responsibilities include designing, developing, and maintaining embedded software for microcontrollers, EEPROM, and related laboratory test systems and equipment.
Qualifications for this position include:· BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering· 2+ years of application programming experience with Visual Basic, Visual Basic for Applications, MS Access, and C· Must be motivated, hardworking as well as detail and task oriented· Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills· Must be a team player and problem solver· Must enjoy a challenging, fast pace, and hands-on work environment· Knowledge of IEEE and ANSI standards a plus· CAN (Controller Area Network), National Instruments Labview, National Instruments Diadem, computer networking, Windows API, and real-time operating software systems also a plusExponent offers an excellent benefits package, including company-subsidized medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and a 401(k) Retirement Program, with a 7% company contribution.
