TransWood accomplishes this by hiring qualified experience personnel and empowering them with on going training and the authority to get the job done.Our Mission TO ACHIEVE EXCELLENCE THROUGH SUPERIOR SYSTEMS, TRAINING, AND DEDICATION WHICH ENSURES TRANSWOOD, INC., WILL PROVIDE A LEVEL OF DISCIPLINED QUALITY SERVICE THAT EXCEEDS OUR CUSTOMERS’ NEEDS, DEMANDS, AND EXPECTATIONSSHOP FOREMAN / TRUCK / MECHANIC POSITION SUMMARY:Perform repairs and maintenance on trucks to maximize safe and productive operations.Also will oversee shop and have light managment dutiesSHOP FOREMAN / TRUCK / MECHANIC RESPONSIBILITIES:• Diagnose mechanical problems. • Perform repairs and maintenance on electric, diesel and gasoline trucks including front-end loader, roll off, and other vehicles to maximize safe and productive operations. • Examine protective guards and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments. • Read and interpret VCRs (vehicle condition reports) and repair orders • Communicate with supervisor and driver for clarification of problems and discuss preventive techniques with drivers to minimize future repairs. • Complete paperwork associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for applied times (work order time versus time card times). • Make emergency road calls to repair trucks. • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
REQUIREMENTSSHOP FOREMAN / TRUCK / MECHANIC REQUIREMENTS:• Equivalent of (1) High School diploma or G.E.D. certification and 1 year of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance; OR (2) 4 years of related truck or heavy equipment maintenance. • Valid driver’s license. • Lift, carry and push/pull at least 75 pounds. • Troubleshooting – Diagnose existing problems and predict potential problems. • Mechanical or trade school certificate (preferred). • ASE certificate (preferred).
