Production Technician - 10pm to 6:30am

Support day to day activities and perform all maintenance required to keep production on line.
Troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic schematics and systems.
Read and interpret blueprints, layout plans, operating and repair manuals, and often work from verbal instructions.
Implement upgrades and changes to existing equipment with minimal support and develop manufacturing sketches of equipment and fixtures.
Perform diagnostics via computer terminal.
Set up and operate conventional machine tools and fabrication machinery to rework or fabricate new parts.
Perform minor rebuilding projects on major machine tools and equipment.
Interface with lead technicians to ensure desired results. Interface with and support other departments such as manufacturing, controls and quality engineering.

Requirements:

Good communication skills, both oral and written.
Knowledge of high and low voltage and proficient with the use of test equipment, voltmeter, amp meter, etc.
Able to set up and implement projects and systems, set up and operate conventional shop tools and fabricating equipment to repair or make parts such as drill press, grinder, band saw, taps, solder, etc.
Ability to dismantle, install, upgrade equipment of fairly complicated design from blueprints, detailed drawings, instructions or sketches.
Must be able to learn quickly without a lot of supervision.
