On-Board Diagnostics System Engineer

This position is located in the Midwest and will be the system application engineer for on-board (on-machine) monitoring and display systems.
Responsibilities will include:
1. Gathering and documenting business unit and IPSD functional requirements for on-board monitoring & display systems.
2.Creation of technical specification and integration documentation for on-board monitoring & display systems.
3. Acting as a green belt resolving system design and integration issues during development. May occasionally require field support during development.
4. Creation and coordination of test plans for the on-board monitoring subsystem.
5. Reporting technical status to related teams.


Requirements:

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical (preferred) or mechanical engineering or equivalent.
3-5 years of experience with machine system, software or component development.
Knowledge of 6Sigma.
Ability to organize and develop specifications and test plans for systems or components.
Ability to work in a team environment, communicating technical information and development progress to team members.
Ability to clearly communicate with both technical and management personnel.
Highly Desired:
Experience with both system/component integration and embedded software development a plus.
Experience with machine health/monitoring systems.
Experience with on-machine data links, protocols, Cadet, and Electronic Technician.
6Sigma Green Belt DMEDI training.
FMEA training/experience.
