Job #1230 - Automation Specialist V
POSITION SUMMARY:
Are you an expert problem solver having a wide knowledge of document management and desktop computer software? As a highly organized, detail-oriented automation specialist you will solve complex problems requiring in-depth evaluation, coordinate significant improvements in internal automation systems, and ensure new systems get designed and implemented for effective use by employees of the Court. Your excellent interpersonal skills and process improvement focus enable you to establish user requirements, design workflows, and construct technical specifications. Your experience as an imaging/EDMS product administrator equips you to ease employees out of the paper world and support those who are already paperless. You act as the main point of contact for document management and office automation at the Supreme Court, applying technology to solve day-to-day business problems.
Do you enjoy variety and challenge, have untapped creativity and enthusiasm, and gain energy from tackling complex automation problems? Are you excited about making a difference, identifying process improvements, and improving productivity so others excel at their jobs? We’d love to have you join our growing team.
This highly skilled, technical position reports to the Manager of Strategic Planning and supports automation-related improvements in back-office business processes, including electronic document management and using productivity tools to streamline work processes for Supreme Court personnel. This position is responsible for analyzing, developing, and documenting process improvements related to various information systems and applications utilized by the Supreme Court; solving problems and documenting solutions for desktop software used by court employees; assisting in tailoring software to meet individual business needs; providing content for training employees in desktop automation tools; administering measurement instruments to assess the effectiveness of office automation and process improvements; as well as identifying and managing externally available solution providers, where necessary.
