Inventory Control Room Technician

TABC, Inc. (subsidiary of Toyota Motor Manufacturing North America) located in Long Beach, California, currently has an opening for an Inventory Control Room Technician in its Production Control Department on a contract basis.

This position is in the 2nd shift, starting between 2 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. This is a contracting, hourly paid position expected to last 12+ months. Interested candidates must be able to work overtime on an as-needed basis.

 

Duties include:

 

Monitor production status and inform customers of shipment status

Perform root cause analysis and investigations for part shortages

Set up and track expedite shipments both from the suppliers and to the customer

Create customer kanbans and level DMS to support production

Support group leader and team leaders with operations as necessary

Create daily, weekly and monthly reports for presentation to all levels of management.
REQUIREMENTS


Skills:

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

1-3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment

Proficiency with MS Office, esp. Excel

Strong communication skills, time management, interpersonal and organizational skills

Strong analytical problem solving skills

Great team player orientation.
