Formulation Chemist/Engineer

Purpose: Aerotek is actively seeking candidates for an Automotive R&D Chemist / Engineer. This is a permanent opportunity in the Richmond, VA area with a company in the automotive industry that offers growth and a great work environment. This R&D Chemist / Engineer will be an integral part of our client's global drive line technology team. This individual will focus on the development of next generation automotive drivetrains, fluid flow technology, and the management of research and development projects in a team based environment. Also responsible for selecting components, testing, customer service, and the analysis of data. This R&D/Formulation Chemist will also be required to travel outside of the U.S. several times a year to visit customers and their facilities.

Candidates for this position must have a strong formulations background, chemistry experience as well as great communication and interpersonal skills. Qualified candidates will have a B. S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Automotive Engineering. Candidates must also have at least 3 years of automotive or industrial chemical lubricant experience OR an advanced degree (M. S. or Ph.D.). Candidates for this position must be able to work independently, or in a team environment, must also be a self starter.Classification:Direct HireCompensation:
