Fleet Tire Maintenance Mechanic

The Texas Division, located in Roanoke, Texas has a full-time opening for a Fleet Tire Maintenance Mechanic position.Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
WILL TRAIN TO DO REPAIRS AS TIME ALLOWS – BUT EXPERIENCE PREFERRED•Will be main person responsible for maintaining a tire program for the entire fleet.
•Knowledge of tractor, trailer, and refrigeration unit equipment maintenance a plus.
•Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on fleet vehicles as time allows.
•Repair equipment including air and hydraulic systems, drive train components as time allows.
•Fabrication and welding of critical suspension and chassis components as needed.
•Work with parts department in ordering necessary parts for repair.•Apply technical standards, professional judgment in making decisions, and budgeting.
•Ability to work a flexible schedule.
•Clean up work area and tools between job assignments.
•Perform other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: The following are preferred or desired unless specifically stated:•Ability to work with minimal supervision.
•Ability to change tires, inspect tires, and maintain rotation.
•Ability to maintain a tire program and responsible for working within a budget.
•Computer proficiency sufficient to run excel and word.
•Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers.
•Visual acuity sufficient for working on tires, vehicles, reading, writing, and computer terminal.
•Strength to lift, push, or pull objects weighing up to 90 pounds on a regular basis.
