Experienced General Manager - GM Preferred

The General Manager is responsible for operating and managing the dealership. Oversees the operation of all departments and maintains high level of integrity in all areas of operations. Hires, trains, and motivates store management staff. Achieves or exceeds budgeted performance objectives. Maintains a high level of customer and employee satisfaction in a positive and safe environment.

o Three to five years previous dealership experience.
o At least two years of supervisory experience.
REQUIREMENTS
Primary Responsibilities:
o Prepare and complete financial statement and submit it to the manufacturer each month.
o Interpret and analyze the financial statement continually.
o Keep the General Manager informed about the trends and the cash needs of the business.
o Develop and maintain an effective cash management system.
o Approve adjustments to inventory accounts.
o Prepare budget/forecasts for the dealership and assist department managers with budget preparation.
o Review the financial statement with the GM and each department manager on a monthly basis.
o Prepare monthly operating review of financial performance.
o Administer payroll policies.
o Coordinate annual audit and physical inventory.
o Maintain loss reserves for contingent liabilities and trade receivables.
o Establish and administer a loss review program.
o Automate all possible systems and establish controls.
o Coordinate all accounting requirements with the Region office.
o Prepare sales commission/chargeback detail reports.
o Maintain all accounts receivables at 95% current.
o Maintain contracts in transit at 5 days maximum.
