Job Description
Responsible for promoting the entire NAPA line of products and programs in addition to selling the store's services in an effort to increase sales as well as increase market penetration through new and existing accounts. You will have direct contact with our customers and therefore neatness in personal appearance is a must.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing prompt and courteous service for all customers and potential customers of the store, including walk-in and telephone calls.Look up the parts application of the product in the extensive parts catalog or by computerized database.Must be proficient with determining correct application for any/all automotive related component parts and accessories.Utilize a cash drawer, operate a cash register, computer and paper cataloging and process daily paperwork.Effectively communicate features, benefits, and warranty policy information to customers.Effectively understand and communicate company policies; follow and adhere to all safety rules including the handling of hazardous materialsAbility to operate and utilize telephone system
Pay commensurate with qualificaitons. This position has potential to develop into higher level positions such as Assistant Manager.

Ideal candidate will possess:Prior automotive aftermarket part supply background and/or knowledge, ASE (PS2) Parts Certification is a definite plus.Prior knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems is highly desired.A willingness and ability to learn in a fast-paced retail sales environment.A positive attitude and great personal drive.Must be functionally literate, capable of reading and writing legibly: and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes, including identifying sequence of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly: and able to accurately reference part numbers and applications from extensive catalogMust be capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 60 lbs.Must be able to move engine blocks and other heavy equipment with moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, dollies, motorized cart, pallet jacks, etc.Must be able to repeatedly bend or stoop to ground level shelves and be able to reach upper shelves (8 feet) with the use of stool or ladder when necessary.Must be able to work on their feet (stand or walk) for their assigned work shifts.Minimum age of 18.Pre-employment drug screen and back ground check required.Must be a U.S. Citizen or have legal resident status.Must be wiling to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation is a MUST.Occasionally assist with deliveries when need and act as a back-up driver if needed - thus requiring a valid drivers license.Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
