Secondary Counter Sales - Automotive Retail Sales Associate Functions:
Responsible for promoting the entire NAPA line of products and programs in addition to selling the store's services, in an effort to increase sales as well as increase market penetration through new and existing accounts. Represents primary communication link between assigned accounts and the store. Should fully implement and support NAPA and store initiated programs and follow store policies and procedures. As a local sales person you will be responsible for calling on & supporting new and existing customers and promoting the entire NAPA line of products and store services to increase market penetration.

Secondary Counter Sales - Automotive Retail Sales Associate Functions:
Work closely with store management to achieve proper gross profit levels with the full knowledge and proper use of custom pricing and assist in customer service questions, store operations, and develop strategic sales and marketing activities. Keep management informed of market conditions and changes including competitive strengths and weaknesses.

REQUIREMENTS
Counter Sales - Automotive Retail Sales Associate Job Skills:
Minimum age of 18.
Must be wiling to work flexible hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays.
Possess a valid drivers license with no DWI convictions within the past four years and not have over three moving violations or two at-fault accidents in the last three years.
Pre-employment drug screen and back ground check required.
Must be a US Citizen or have legal resident status.
Neatness in personal appearance and the ability to maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
Be functionally literate and capable of understanding and recognizing part numbers and line codes to ensure proper selection and delivery of parts, including identifying sequences of numbers and letters accurately and rapidly.
Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills in a professional manner.
Enjoy working with people in a fast-paced setting; be competitive yet have the ability to work calmly under pressure.
Having a working knowledge of the part of the city the store services.
Be able to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission (if appropriate).
Capable of operating the computer point-of-sale system and cataloging.
Able to use adding machines and process cash, check and credit card transactions.
Visually capable of recognizing and distinguishing letters and numbers and remembering their sequencing.
Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
Able to work on feet (stand and walk) for entire assigned work shift.
Capable of lifting and moving parts and boxes of up to 60 pounds.
Able to repeatedly bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and able to reach upper shelves (eight feet) with use of stool or ladder when necessary.
Able to turn brake drums and rotors, and repai/make up hydraulic hose assemblies (if appropriate).
Able to move engine blocks, core barrels, and other heavy equipment with moving aids designed to move such items, including hand trucks, barrel dollies, hydraulic lifts, etc.
Handle difficult customers and problems in a complimentary manner.
