Tax Technician

KPMG LLP is the audit, tax and advisory firm with the strongest growth record over the past decade. We offer our clients industry insights and a multidisciplinary range of services. We are currently seeking a Tax Technician to join us in our Birmingham office.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and delivery of compliance, refund, audit defense, and research projects

Participate in two-way feedback with team members while learning required processes and skills

Travel to client and other KPMG office locations to perform project tasks, as necessary

Obtain, copy, and organize documentation in support of client tax positions

Prepare the required governmental forms that are necessary to support client tax positions

Organize and maintain client files in accordance with firm standards

Perform various administrative tasks to assist managers in meeting firm and client obligations

Create and input data into MS Excel spreadsheets in support of client positions

Participate in required firm training in support of continued career growthQualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university

Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Access and strong overall computer skills

Good communication, grammar, writing, and people skills

Good administrative and organizational skills

Able to interact with clients
