Senior Internal Auditor

personal best, succeed and grow!We are recruiting for the position of: SENIOR INTERNAL AUDITORDuties:Assist the Manager - Internal Audit with the various components of Deltacom’s
Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance program. Works with business process owners to
test internal controls and evaluate the results. Assist in identifying control
issues and best practices as well as developing and assisting in the
implementation of remediation efforts. Develops and presents status reports
regarding the SOX compliance effort, projected milestone dates, proposed project
budgets / resource requirements, and operational improvement opportunities
discovered. Evaluates internal control documentation to identify internal
control strengths and weaknesses across a wide scope of financial and
operational functions. Develops test plans used to validate process
documentation and internal controls.Plans and executes financial, compliance, and operational audits of all Company
activities. Identifies business risks and tests management’s methods for
mitigating those risks. Prepares audit programs and performs audit procedures,
including identifying and defining issues, developing criteria, reviewing and
analyzing evidence, and documenting processes and procedures. Identifies,
develops, and documents audit issues and recommendations. Communicates the
results of audit projects via written reports and oral presentations to
management.Requirements: Must posses strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills,
excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to change quickly
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited college or
university
Three to six years of external or internal audit experience
Profession certification: CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or CMA
Proficiency in MS Office software and the ability to travel 10% required.Preferred Qualifications: SOX work experience
