Payroll Services Rep

Under minimal supervision, processes properly authorized documents for new hires and terminations, benefit changes, garnishments, salary changes, and time and attendance. Responsible for processing regional multi-state payroll. Provides support in resolving payroll related issues. Interfaces with all employees and provides quality customer service.
Responsible for timely and accurate payroll input through internal payroll systems. Ensures only authorized salary information is used, proper accounts are affected and accruals are accurate.
Maintains confidentiality of employee information.
Processes payroll, human resources, benefits and time clock information into appropriate software system.
Interacts with all levels of employees and managers in problem resolution, program changes and development as it relates to payroll and the time clock system.
Provides support to field offices with manual checks, questions, problem resolution, etc. in a courteous and professional manner.
Investigates questionable data and takes corrective action when necessary.
Processes garnishments and other wage assignments as necessary.
Keeps informed on legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll taxes in multi-state environment.
Implements, sustains, and develops quality process improvements that focus on safety, financials, operations and customer service.


Minimum three years of direct multi-state payroll experience required.
Must be knowledgeable on Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel. MS Access a plus.
Experience with customer service, compiling statistics, data input and log maintenance required.
Lawson, ProBusiness, Kronos or other third party payroll processing software preferred.
High school degree or equivalent. Associates degree preferred, but not required.
