The Payroll Manager is responsible for supervising the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll activities. Provide leadership and direction for payroll team. Respond to payroll inquiries and requests. Develop efficient processes for payroll transactions.Responsibilities
Supervise the payroll function to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll activities.Ensure payroll activities comply with regulatory requirements and Company policy.Perform audits of payroll activities and systems.Provide leadership and direction for payroll team. Communicate with team members. Provide developmental feedback and training. Set schedules and work loads to meet requirements.Identify, define, develop, and evaluate payroll processes to determine opportunities for process improvements and greater efficiencies.Be cognizant of regulatory changes and payroll trends. Recommend strategies and process changes.Interact with other departments and vendors on payroll related matters.

REQUIREMENTS
Requirements
Associate Degree in business with an accounting emphasis.Five or more years of payroll experience in high volume, multi-state setting.Three or more years of payroll supervisory experience.Computer proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and previous experience with Ceridian Payroll/HRIS systems strongly preferred.Knowledge and understanding of Federal, state, and local tax laws, sound payroll practices, wage and hour laws (FLSA), employee benefits deductions, wage assignments, tax levies, garnishments, child support orders, and other deductions, and basic accounting and business principles.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred.
