Artistic Stairs Inc. is recognized in North America as the leader in the manufacture and installation of circular and straight stair and decorative railing systems. Since 1979, Artistic Stairs Inc. has developed, designed, manufactured and installed stair and railing systems known for excellence, creativity, imagination and innovation. As a result of tremendous growth within the Phoenix region, we have a requirement for a Payroll Administrator to join our dynamic team.

The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate and timely processing, handling and maintenance of all payroll records. Specific duties will include the following:

·Create and manage employee files and ensure file information is completed and up to date (e.g. new employee forms, benefit enrollment forms, confidentiality agreements, etc.)
·Liaise with employees and managers to ensure all new hire and employee information is received and updated on time
·Data entry and verification in a fast paced, high volume environment, including timesheets, reconciliations and other administrative functions
·The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate and timely processing, handling and maintenance of all payroll records
·Prepare input sheets for daily processing of payroll
·Ensure orderly maintenance of all payroll records and reports
·Respond to requests for verifications and garnishments
·Administer payroll control procedures as per Controller’s manual
·Participate in year-end preparations and other special projects
·Assist with the handling of benefit-related forms and administration
·Calculate allowance, retroactive pay adjustments, vacation adjustments and other payroll adjustments
·Process manual checks in specific emergency situations and input into the accounting system
·Liaise with the HR department for improving processes overall
REQUIREMENTS
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of three years of related payroll and benefits administration dealing with both hourly and salaried employees. Previous accounting experience including processing journal entries, working in the general ledger, account reconciliations and prepaid expenses with intermediate Excel skills are required. Previous ADP experience is considered a definite asset. The ability to manage competing priorities and multitask, demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills and possess strong analytical and organizational skills is an important aspect to be successful in this role. Attention to detail and the ability to work with strict deadlines in a team oriented environment are a key job requirement
