Medical Billers / Medical Collectors - Needed ASAP-To $15.00/hr!

MEDICAL BILLERS / MEDICAL COLLECTORS

•Review remittance advice forms to verify proper reimbursement and to make adjustments as necessary.
•Responsible for the analysis of patient records and determining the legitimacy of treatment, diagnostic testing, admissions,
•Processes billing and follow-up for third party billing
•Posts cash, charges and denials.
•Checks to ensure that hospital records for patients include all information required for Third Party reimbursement.
•Verifies correct Third Party coding to ensure prompt payment.
•Verifies billing information for electronic claims transmission and hard copy billing (UB-92 and 1500 forms)
•Consults with claims processors at Third Party Payor companies regarding disputes/denied claims and follow up on all bills not processed within usual claim period.
REQUIREMENTS
•Knowledge of managed care contracts, workers’ compensation legal requirements, and fee schedules may be required.
•Must have knowledge of HMO's, PPO, AHCCCS, and Medicare. Out-of-state Medicaid a plus
•Knowledge of computerized billing software (e.g. MDX, Medisoft, IDX, Meditech, HBOC, Prime Clinical, Primus, Medical Manager, etc) is required.
•Experience with either HCFA's or UB's.
•Commercial and hospital experience is helpful.
•Must possess knowledge of ICD-9, CPT, HCPCS and OP coding,
•Medical Terminology and an understanding of HIPPA privacy laws.
•Must have a High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and/or experience to perform all required essential functions for this position.
