We currently have an opening for a Financial Counselor in our Phoenix, AZ office. The successful candidate will assess clients’ financial situations, counsel clients on budgeting and money management, develop debt management plans, negotiate with creditors and perform credit report reviews. As you gain experience and confidence, you will be trained in advanced topics such as housing delinquency, reverse mortgage and bankruptcy counseling. This is not a sales or commission based position. Your appointments are scheduled for you through our national Call Center. New clients typically hear of us via advertising or referrals by friends, family or creditors.

You will receive four weeks of intensive classroom training at our corporate headquarters in Farmington Hills, Michigan (at GreenPath’s expense) followed by on-the-job mentoring before being assigned a full client caseload. REQUIREMENTS
To qualify you must have a minimum of a Bachelors degree in a Behavioral/Social Science, Education or Business, 1-2 years of counseling, teaching or banking experience and excellent organizational, communication, problem solving and computer skills. Directly related experience is not necessary or expected. However, we do require that you have a passion for learning, teaching and assisting others. Some evening hours are required.
