Department: Patient Financial ServicesSchedule: Full-timeShift: Day shiftHours: 8:00am - 4:30pmJob Details: The position requires a Bachelors Degree with an emphasis in Finance or accounting, with a minimum of 5 years of healthcare financial management experience with at least 2 years in a Patient Financial or Business Office role, Or 10 years of healthcare Patient Financial/Business office management experience. This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to be flexible with changing needs and deadlines. The ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and outside professionals is a must. This person must have a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, payor contracts and applicable rules and regulations affecting reimbursement for healthcare services. Demonstrates behaviors consistent with United Medical Center values, management expectations, and service standardsThis position requires strong analytical and organizational skills as well as the ability to be flexible with changing needs and deadlines. The ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel and outside professionals is a must. The candidate for this position must have a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, payor contracts and applicable rules and regulations affecting reimbursement for healthcare services. Computerized AR/ADT system experience, Microsoft Office products knowledge. Ability to prioritize and delegate numerous activities. Ensure the accurate completion of all work while promoting a cooperative environment. Ability to conduct accurate written and verbal business communication. Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.This position coordinates and directs Patient Financial Services including billing and collections in order to maximize cash flow, reduce expenditures and maintain low receivables. Director provides leadership and direction to ensure that services provided meet the needs of our customers through ease of access, timely and accurate collection of patient information, with accurate billing and collection of accounts for financial viability of the facility.
