Job Summary:
The Director of Operations Analysis supports operations profitability by providing support and recommendation on performance measures, consulting on financial understanding of the business and acting as a business strategist to help identify opportunities for improved financial results.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
•Provide Operations with information ensuring goals are aligned to meet overall Company objectives
•Establish and maintain a structure of periodic operating performance reviews with Operations Sr. Mgmt.
•Inform Sr. Mgmt. of trends in business activity which may affect profitability and provide recommendations for action
•Direct the activities of the Operations Analysis team
•Review operating results to identify and opportunities to increase revenue and cost containment or reduction
•Monitor departmental achievements vs. established responsibilities as the relate to overall profitability
REQUIREMENTS
A Successful Candidate Shall:
•Have a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, General Business or a related area
•5 plus years experience in financial analysis or high level accounting with strong understanding of retail operations
•Be proficient at Trend Sheet or other analytical tools.
•Have advanced Excel Skills with Word and Windows skills
•Have working knowledge of SQL Query Analyzer. Working knowledge of Fox Pro a plus.
•Have comprehensive understanding of profit and loss drivers
•Have excellent math and statistical skills
•Be detail-oriented, a self-starter, with good communications skills and leadership initiative
