Database Specialist- PROVConnect

Providence Health & Services is recruiting for the position of Database Specialist - ProvConnect (full-time, non-exempt).  This is a replacement position and based in Beaverton, Oregon.  The position reports to ProvConnect Procurement Application Director and provides support to the regional and system supply chain and accounts payable department staff, customers, and suppliers on a system wide basis to meet the data maintenance needs of the organization through providing an effective supply chain tool.



Position responsibilities include item master and vendor master maintenance, additions and deletions and assisting in developing system wide policies and procedures, and providing technical assistance to the PH&S ProvConnect department. Under the direction of the Procurement Applications Director will assist in the planning, development, testing, training, and implementation of item and vendor master projects.  The Database Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring and reviewing updates to the Lawson database.

REQUIREMENTS
The minimum qualifications for consideration include the equivalent of a High School diploma or GED, a Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business or related field is preferred.

An in depth knowledge of materials management and accounts payable information systems, including hardware and software is required experience with Lawson software and Microsoft Excel and Access is preferred.
