Founded in 1907, the company employs approximately 3,400 people and is 100 percent employee owned.Expected Results:Protect Appleton's investment in accounts receivable by maintaining a high quality A/R portfolio.Seek opportunities to accelerate cash receipts to fund debt repayment and profitable growth.Represent Appleton favorably in our customers' eyes by practicing Customer Focused Quality in all customer contacts.Supporting Activities:Ongoing customer account monitoring and collections efforts.Monitor customer orders, make daily order hold / ship decisions based on customer account status, credit terms, and collection efforts.Determine proper application of daily international customer wires, pass information on to credit department for actual cash application.Reconcile international customer accounts and unapplied cash, obtain remittance information when proper application of wire payments is unclear.
Work with International Customer Service to resolve customer claims and deductions.Coordinate with and support international sales team, sales agents.
Assist with ongoing compliance with internal control requirements.Assist other departments with financial information as required.Responsible for collections, research of billing discrepancies and dispute resolution.Work with internal and external auditors in conjunction with internal control and financial statement audits.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3-5 years of experience in Credit or another Finance disciplineStrong interpersonal and communication skillsMust be detail-oriented, with well developed organizational skills and the demonstrated ability to work on multiple projectsMust apply on line at www.appletonideas.comAll offers of employment are contingent on a pre-employment physical and drug screen.
