Consolidations & Internal Financial Reporting Accountant

We have an immediate opening for an Accountant to be a part of our Consolidations & Internal Financial Reporting team within our Accounting & Finance Department. This position will be based at our Corporate Headquarters in Birmingham, Alabama.Responsibilities:
•Maintains financial records by preparing, collecting and posting monthly journal entires
•Responsible for closing procedures through preparation and validation of financial statements
•Prepares various financial analyses for management
•Assist in budget preparation
•Maintain general ledger
•Research and resolve complex problems/issues
•Exercise and display an understanding of all departmental workflow and processes

REQUIREMENTS
•BS in Accounting required
•CPA eligibility required
•Ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial information•Experience with or ability to learn Peoplesoft software applications quickly•Strong interpersonal, teamwork, organizational and time management skills
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills including ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff
•Authorized to work in the US
