Business is L & M Landscape and Masonry Supply. We sell wholesale and retail of block, rock and pavers. We currently have 2 sites and opening our third towards the end of November. The bookkeeping job is at our Glendale site in the area of Glendale and 59th Avenues. The bookkeeper is responsible for all of the accounting functions for the company and works with the owners and managers for the required accounting information to run and grow the business. We are a 'people buy from people' company and strive to provide superior customer solutions.Job Description:
Primary focus is to do the accounting functions. These would include but not limited to the following: A/R, A/P, Tax Payments (electronic and by check), Payroll time clock input (the rest is outsourced with Comp-u-pay), Collections, Mechanic Liens, Lien Releases, Check Fraud Paperwork, Customer Statements, Company Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Analysis and some Business Projections.Currently we use Quick Books Pro as our accounting platform and Quick Books Point of Sale as our sales program.Future activity for the Accounting:
- Set up accounting at the third site when required.
- Continue to reduce exposure to bad or poor paying customers.Job is 40 hour/week full time with some flexibility with hours. We are open from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM with hours shifting slightly depending on season. We are open Monday through Saturday. Your schedule would depend on when do both parties get the most benefit from your start and finish times.SalaryWe pay on hourly basis. Wage offered is dependent on experience and value added. Hourly pay periods are each week Monday to Sunday with checks paid on the following Thursday.All employees are on probation for a minimum of 1 year from time of employment.Benefits
Vacation is one (1) week after one (1) year and two (2) weeks after four (4) completed years.We have a health insurance plan for the employee if they so elect whereby the company pays 90% of the premium for the employee. There is a 90 day waiting period for inclusion in the plan and you will be covered on the nearest 1st or 15th after you are eligible.There is a dental supplement for the plan where the company pays as well 90% of the cost.
